Job Description

The first responsibility of every single employee at Yada is to keep the restaurant clean at all times. Work clean, clean as you go, clean between tasks, clean before and after tasks. Seriously we really mean it.

The Dishwasher is also responsible for washing a variety of service dishes and cookware in the dish machine or three compartment sink. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards is of critical importance. The Busser is also responsible for setting and cleaning tables and counter area throughout the shift. Supports service staff with drink refills and clearing tables. Assists with reconfiguration of the dining room to accommodate parties.

The Dishwasher/ busser is often called upon to balance an assortment of priorities during their shift and should embrace the teamwork philosophy!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clean!
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the restaurant
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
  • Wash, rinse, sanitize and air dry all dishes.
  • Checks restrooms routinely throughout the shift
  • Removes trash and breaks down boxes
  • Complete all assigned opening, closing and running duties
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of service and bus stations ·
  • Communicates and assists host with accommodating varying party sizes
  • Assists servers with clearing of plates as needed throughout the meal
  • Clears, cleans and sanitizes, and resets tables as guests leave
  • Ensures all dirty plates, silver and glassware are taken to the dish area

Job Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Past experience working as a team and demonstrating success in building relationships
  • Able to read and speak English
  • Able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.50 per hour
