Job Description and Duties

DIS I:
Under close supervision, the Field Office Trainer (FOT) assists with training of newly hired Disability Insurance Program Representatives (DIPRs) and newly hired support staff; assists with providing refresher training for all staff. Works with the Training and Program Development Unit (TPDU) and the Management and Staff Development Unit (MSDU) to assess issues and develop solutions to meet training needs. Interacts with trainees, other FOTs, on-the-job trainers, FO staff, management, and the Disability Insurance (DI) Branch Training Section staff effectively.

The incumbent contributes toward the growth of the Branch into a customer-focused service organization by following and applying DI Branch cultural principles. The incumbent is required to have knowledge of the principles of the DI Branch program and protect program integrity by identifying and reporting any suspected fraudulent claims and/or activities.

Background Investigation Requirement

The position(s) may require an applicant to pass a background investigation.
