Job Description

The Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the Tisch Cancer Institute are seeking an individual to lead the section of lymphoma for the Mount Sinai Health System.

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) is an integrated health care system providing exceptional medical care to local and global communities. Encompassing the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and eight hospital campuses in the New York metropolitan area, as well as a large, regional ambulatory footprint, Mount Sinai is internationally acclaimed for its excellence in research, patient care, and education across a range of specialties.

The applicant would join the faculty in the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and have responsibility for oversight of patient care, clinical research, training and education programs involving lymphoma in medical oncology. The Division of Hematology/Oncology currently includes 120 faculty members, of which five focus exclusively on lymphoma. The applicant would collaborate closely with several TCI investigators who have NCI-funded basic and translational research programs involving lymphoma, including especially Dr. Joshua Brody, Director of the Lymphoma Immunotherapy Program, and Dr. Samir Parekh, who oversees clinical and translational research in mantle cell lymphoma. .

Position Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree from an Accredited University
  • New York Medical License
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology
  • Associate professor or professor with established track record of accomplishment including clinical research
  • Track record of current and/or prior NCI funding preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills
  • A system work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance driven health system
