Job Description
- Position Purpose:The Director of Sales II is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic marketing/sales plan for employer groups/brokers/consultants, as applicable to their segment and market. This position will have accountability for sales staff and will manage the distribution of sales products relevant to their portfolio.
- Compiles and analyzes sales reports and reports to management as appropriate.
- Collaborates with product development and implementation, marketing and advertising initiatives with assigned individuals throughout the organization to design sales collateral material.
- Ensures that all materials, sales practices and enrollment procedures adhere to federal and state regulations as well as Health Net policies and procedures.
- Develops and implements strategic distribution and growth plan for product lines to grow desirable market share and transform underperforming markets.
- Collects feedback from brokers/potential customers/market for market research purposes. Uses research information on competitors to help improve sales performance/results.
- Achieves membership, revenue and profitability objectives for sales portfolio.
- Provides direction and leadership in the formation and execution of sales and retention strategies. Expands awareness of Health Net capabilities in relevant segments’ with relevant communities (i.e. broker, new sales, account mgmt); establishes value added and differentiable identity. Works throughout the state. Creates demand for company products and programs among future members.
- Manages department by establishing goals and standards that meet/exceed customer expectations. For each team member, directs and oversees the execution of individual goal and development plans and actively coaches associates to achieve desired goal and development results.
- In conjunction with Sr. Management and Actuary develops plan design, competitive pricing methodologies and premium for specific geographic markets and products.
Education/Experience:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required; MBA/post-graduate degree desirable. Minimum five years management experience in addition to outstanding leadership skills. Experience with a full range of healthcare products.
License/Certification:Licensure required
