Job Summary
NetApp is the Data Authority and that brings great responsibility in managing, protecting and securing our customer’s data. Working with NetApp’s flagship product ONTAP, Security and Data Protection are at the heart and core value of NetApp. Front and center to this role is the NetApp Data Fabric, enabling on prem to hybrid to cloud based solutions that our customers are demanding.
This strategic position is ready for a candidate that brings both vision and experience in defining and deploying enterprise scale products. The role will report to the Sr. Director of Product Management for ONTAP Ecosystems and will work closely with our internal partners in the Public Cloud Services Business Unit as well as our 3rd party partners in the ecosystem.
This role
Sets product vision and priorities, partners closely with engineering, operations and other cross-functional teams to define and deliver enterprise class product capabilities in security & data protection for our customers
Manage product roadmaps and timelines, and track corresponding development efforts, including detailed feature level requirements
Establish Go-to-market strategy working with Sales, Marketing, Pricing and demonstrate NetApp’s leadership and value proposition
Work with senior business leaders and establish the overall security and data protection strategies.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
10+ years of Product Management experience for enterprise environments, or equivalent technical experience.
Domain expertise in enterprise data security
Experience in Back-up and Disaster Recovery solutions for enterprise products
Experience driving a vision and roadmap for enterprise products
Experience leading a team of senior Product Managers and Technical Marketing Engineers.
Working knowledge of NetApp core ONTAP and Cloud products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Technical understanding of software and product development methodologies
Passion for building products that are both technically solid and that win in the marketplace
Education
BS/BA degree or equivalent related experience. 12+ years - plus add additional experience requirements needed if you were to fill an open requisition, i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline required, or equivalent practical experience.
MBA or equivalent work experience desired. Or equivalent practical experience.
