Director Of Worship And Organist

Church of the St. Raphael, Crystal MN is seeking a faithful and highly skilled Director of Worship and Organist. This part-time position is responsible for providing organ and piano accompaniment for all liturgies that include cantor-led hymns, scheduling all cantors, selecting music in collaboration with the Pastor and Director of Choir, and designing, licensing and printing weekly worship aids.

Job Qualifications:

Proficiency in playing the organ and piano. Understanding of Catholic liturgy and principals. Understanding the role of sacred music in Roman Catholic worship. Be knowledgeable and supportive of St. Raphael’s Mission and Philosophy. Knowledgeable of repertoire appropriate to Roman Catholic worship across a variety of periods. Ability to read music. Ability to lead, direct, and accompany for extended periods of time. Plan, organize and meet deadlines.
