The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) at SWCA projects continued significant annual growth year-over-year for the next several years. This trajectory requires a director-level Total Rewards & HRIS leader who has the ability to work in tandem with SWCA’s leadership team to ensure that all Total Rewards and HRIS efforts align in supporting future growth. Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), the Director of Total Rewards and HRIS is a hands-on builder who will design, implement, and champion Total Rewards and HRIS initiatives throughout the company, for various levels, as well as oversee the Total Rewards and HRIS team.

- In partnership with the CPO, SLT and a collaborative HR Leadership team, design and execute SWCA’s Total Rewards strategy to include compensation, benefits, retirement, wellness, and other programs
- Bring expertise and thought leadership to SWCA’s Total Rewards packages ensuring cost effectiveness, consistency with labor market and industry trends, and alignment with organizational objectives
- Pro-actively assess and recommend Total Reward practices and programs to ensure fairness and reduce factors that may introduce bias contributing to pay or other inequities
- Provide thought leadership and educate and consult with leadership at all levels on Total Reward best practices to promote a more diverse and inclusive SWCA
- Assess organizational wellness needs and implement progressive and holistic wellness initiatives
- Lead and develop an agile and highly effective Total Rewards and HRIS team
- Oversee the design, training and implementation of a comprehensive and scalable compensation program
- Provide appropriate guidance and ensure legal compliance with all governmental regulations related to compensation, retirement and benefits programs
- Evaluate market data, industry trends, and best practices, seeking opportunities to enhance the competitiveness of SWCA’s Total Rewards packages and continually improve our overall employer value proposition
- Assess and select vendors, consultants, brokers, and advisor's and negotiate contracts, seeking to balance competitiveness with cost control
- Develop and deliver creative strategies to communicate and educate employees and leadership on SWCA’s Total Reward offerings
- Create and maintain compliance controls for job descriptions, job classifications, FLSA status, etc.
- Collaborate with CPO, SLT and leadership to design and manage all recognition and reward programs
- Provide oversight and optimization of HRIS systems and other technology solutions
- Lead efforts to provide real-time insightful people dashboard reporting and analytics
- Provide frequent strategic analysis, financial modeling and recommendations to the CPO and the SLT to ensure that SWCA is an industry leader in Total Rewards and HRIS
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5 or more years’ experience in Total Rewards and HRIS, Human Resources or equivalent
- 5 years of experience Consulting / Collaboration with Senior Business Leaders
- Proven expertise in conducting job assessments, compensation analysis, building compensation structures, managing benefit and retirement plans, leading wellness efforts, optimizing HRIS functionality, measuring effectiveness and satisfaction of programs
- Prior experience providing strategic insight to executive leadership
- Thorough understanding of human resources policies and procedures, and knowledge of Federal and State regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, HIPAA, and EEO laws
- Significant and quantifiable experience developing, implementing, streamlining/enhancing processes and procedures including leadership of collaborative cross-functional teams
- Exceptional consulting, coaching, and influencing skills
- Excellent facilitation skills in meetings and presentations, and ability to interface with all levels of staff with tact and diplomacy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading and developing a team
- Advanced degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field
- Knowledge of and experience working with an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
- CEBS, CCP, SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification
