SES is currently seeking an experienced Director of Technology to join our team. The Director of Technology will work with a cross-functional team on new online, mobile and other software capabilities for the elevator industry, which will improve user and administrator functionality. Candidates must be experienced in coding languages, Java development, databases, software lifecycles, and cloud principles.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Develop and coordinate augmented reality applications
· Machine learning and artificial intelligence exploration for elevator industry application
· Evaluate and report on new technologies to enhance capabilities
· Manage all information technology, computer systems and security programs
· Provide support for all IT and communications including company provided devices and VoIP phone systems
· Maintain and document the network infrastructure, server infrastructure, and computers
· Maintain equipment/data/software availability and disaster recovery; provide system administration, diagnostics, and repair of network equipment, firewalls, computers, printers/scanners/copiers, and ancillary equipment
· Plan and design support systems; Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot equipment
· Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
· Perform all other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
· 10+ years recent/relevant experience in software engineering, full-stack development or related field
· Experience with coding languages HTML5, JavaScript and CSS
· Experience using frameworks such as jQuery, Bootstrap, Spring and Hibernate
· Must be familiar with Git, GitHub, Eclipse, Apache Maven, and JUnit.
· Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office and Windows OS
· Strong problem-solving ability and analytical skills
· Great interpersonal skills – Displays honesty, ethics and integrity at all times
· Excellent customer service and communication skills including a positive attitude
· Must have prompt and regular attendance, a sense of urgency, self-motivation and discipline, the ability to develop a rapport, and be a team player
· Minimum of 40 hours per week
