The Director of Technology Governance and Compliance operates within the first line of defense and is directly accountable to lead Technology GRC function.Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the evaluation and improvement of the control environment within the assigned LOD. The Director supports and leads the risk evaluation of the various business components including the operating functions across the collective and individual business
- Evaluate the industry, market and regulatory environment to understand regulatory requirements and anticipate changes and help ensure proper alignment with internal TCB frameworks
- Design and build Technology Policies, Standards and Procedures
- Prepare and run Technology Governance Committee and Working Groups
- Execute Technology GRC Framework components (i.e., Technology Governance, Technology RCSA, Technology Issue Management, Technology Metrics Management, Technology Third Party Risk Management, Technology Risk Profile, Technology Compliance Programs)
- Map Compliance Requirements with the operational requirements
- Prepare reporting for the Executive Members
- Act as a central point of contact for the SLOD risk teams, compliance teams and business lines
- Train Technology teams on the Technology GRC Framework
- Run the New Business and Product Risk Requirements
- Document Technology’s Material Risks
- Manage 6-8 direct reports and Manage assigned budget
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Technology Risk Management experience
- 3-5 years of Banking/Financial Services experience strongly preferred
- 10+ years’ hands-on experience in running and managing Technology GRC Programs (i.e., Technology Governance, Technology RCSA, Technology Issue Management, Technology Metrics Management, Technology Third Party Risk Management, Technology Risk Profile)
- Cloud Risk Management experience is a plus
- Industry certifications (e.g., CISA, ITIL) is a plus
- Consulting background is a plus
- Ability to lead multiple teams and projects simultaneously
- Proficient with MS Office applications for reports, analysis, and presentations
- Proficient with Archer GRC tool
- Results-oriented working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to be influential and establish positive working relationships throughout the organization, including senior management
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including management, team members and stakeholders
- Detailed-oriented with a proven history as a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills to confidently interact with and lead meetings at all levels, including executives
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively respond to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
- Experience in mentoring less-senior personnel in aspects of the profession such as leadership, methodology, tools, people skills and navigating politics
