About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Technical Account Management to join our team! This position will manage a team of Technical Account Managers. These teammates each work with a set of assigned accounts to provide support in an effort to develop technology roadmaps, review, and maintain clients’ IT infrastructures, while recommending new technologies and developing budgetary roadmaps to support the vision. The Director of Technical Account Management will leverage their IT expertise and leadership to develop a team of TAMs who are seen as strategic advisors by their clients. In addition, this leader will work with other leaders and 1Path executives to achieve budget, organizational, and strategic objectives.


Job Description

  • Direct and manage all technical sales staff (“TAMs”) by reinforcing the 1Path core values, establishing career plans, and delivering effective 1:1s
  • Improve Technology Business Reviews (“TBRs”) with customers and own TBR process with either quarterly or annual Client review
  • Own process for auditing client infrastructure for needed refreshes, performance enhancements, and security improvements
  • Conduct regular whitespace analysis to help team improve client IT roadmaps and find new opportunities and maintain a greater than 2.5x product penetration average with Clients
  • Partner with other leaders (incl. Sales, Service, Procurement, etc.) to drive results and improve customer relations
  • Partner with Sales leadership to develop strategic and technical account plans, along with guidance to support campaigns and client communications
  • Improve efficiency of TAMs to prioritize client-facing activities and achieved budgeted growth targets for 1Path
  • Lead team closely enough that we are taking necessary actions to manage performance while attracting and retaining top talent
  • Maintain an open and inclusive solutions-oriented organization focused on driving thoughtful recommendations with clients through detailed Scopes of Work and solutions design
  • Provide regular communication to management regarding important issues impacting sales along with metrics/reporting on team performance

Professional and Technical Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience with a minimum of 3 years leading high performing teams

  • Technical solutions experience covering at least some of the below technologies

    • IT Services/Support
    • Workstations (Windows 7, 10, 11) – Mac knowledge always a plus!
    • Servers (Server 2008, 2012, 2016)
    • Cloud Storage Solutions
    • Disaster Recovery
    • Backup Solutions ( Veeam, Storagecraft, etc.)
    • Unified Communications
    • Microsoft 365 Solutions
    • Networking (Cisco, Sonicwall)
    • Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V, Azure…)
