Position Summary:
  • This leader will be an individual contributor on the newly formed Revenue Management and Planning Team, reporting to the Senior Director of Revenue Planning.
  • The individual will play a key role in developing and executing our long-term revenue strategy by providing insights gathered through cross-functional partnership and competitive analysis, and developing new, yet actionable never-been-done-before revenue and monetization ideas.
  • To be successful, this individual needs to be a masterful collaborator, as they will be working closely with many cross-functional teams who will provide inputs to guide strategy development (teams include Market Research, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Programming, Product, IT, BI, Partner Marketing, and more).
  • This position, along with the Senior Director of Revenue Planning, will work closely with the Senior Director of Revenue Management on executing revenue strategies and measuring performance against short, middle, and long-term objectives

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partners closely with Market Research, DSAA, and Marketing Analytics to understand value-price relationship and continually strategizes ways to enhance our pricing architecture
  • Partners closely with Programming, Product and IT to understand roadmap of new content/product, and develops the strategy to integrate into our package architecture
  • Through competitive analysis, research, and cross-functional partnership, continually seeks and recommends cutting edge, never-been-done-before revenue and monetization opportunities that are actionable
  • Ensures a steady stream of new features and partner benefits to maintain a strong value prop for our entire package structure
  • Formulates and executes an evolving ‘melt down’ strategy for features and partner benefits from the top tier of our packages down
  • Develop new ideas for add-on trials that include other offerings from larger SXM subsidiary umbrella
  • Close collaborator with Partner Marketing to evaluate new partnership opportunities that will help us achieve our long-term revenue targets
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity within a dynamic and versatile environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Business Strategy, Marketing, Finance, or other related field or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of demonstrated achievement in the development and execution of a long-term pricing and marketing strategy in a consumer-oriented subscription business
  • Proven history of decision-making excellence and cross-functional influence through data and competitive insights
  • Must be able to work cross-functionally and develop a fact-based point of view

  • Highly motivated, proactive and able to solve diverse problems efficiently
  • Excellent creative writing, storytelling and presentation skills with a proven ability to develop and deliver compelling and persuasive strategies and narratives
  • Visible confidence in delivery and interactions with C-suite executives

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and ramp up quickly
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data into purposeful insights

  • Willingness to travel as needed, both domestic and international

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Thorough knowledge of Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)
  • SQL proficiency a plus, but not required
