Position InformationMinimum QualificationsA master’s degree in relevant field or a bachelor’s degree and significant relevant experience.
A minimum of four years of experience in university administration of a research compliance program, including management of staff.
Knowledge of and experience with federal, state and local regulations pertaining to research compliance and responsible conduct of research.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills.
Desired QualificationsExperience in developing and/or implementing institutional policies; experience with research at a university, either as key personnel or principal investigator; prior experience with a medical school; other related professional certifications.
All QualificationsUnless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered.
Additional Qualifications
Position PurposeThe key functions for the Director of Research Compliance and Integrity (DRCI) are the planning, implementing, and monitoring of research compliance and integrity activities. The DRCI ensures that all research compliance and integrity related policies, procedures and activities at OU are in compliance with the rules and regulations of relevant regulatory agencies and that appropriate training is carried out. The DRCI serves as a liaison between OU’s research administration and the research community both inside and outside OU. The DRCI reports to the Vice President (VPR) for Research. The DRCI oversees and manages research integrity policies, procedures, activities, and personnel. The DRCI may be designated to serve as the Research Integrity Officer for research misconduct allegations.
