Levelset is looking for a senior sales leader to join its Austin team and to level up the revenue machine that we are building. The Director of Sales is a member of the leadership team and is responsible for driving new recurring revenue from new customers. This is one of the most important functions in the business as new revenue drives the valuation of the business.
In this role as Director of Sales at Levelset, you will be pivotal to transforming one of the world’s most far-reaching industries. You will join a special team of people with a fire to create a brand that makes a big impact on millions of businesses and people, empowering people across the world who struggle mightily with cash, to always be able to get what they earn. You will have access to and work closely with world-class, tier 1 venture investors. And you will join this mission at a critical moment, right on the heels of a Series C fundraise, at the ground floor of creating innovative offerings, and in a position to accelerate to a career-defining horizon.
Your Responsibilities:
- Steer the emotional wheel of his sales team, and to drive the team through the highs and lows that are so common in the sales cycle
- Identify gaps in the organization and bring insights to the sales leadership team that lead to positive impacts on the growth of the team and of the company
- Run sales contests and spiff
- Group & 1:1 call coaching for reps - objection handling, setting the meeting, etc.
- Pipeline reviews and forecasting team production
- Setting individual and team goals
- Organizing and executing team events and celebrations
- Monitor rep player cards and coach underperformers into solid production
- Interview prospective sales candidates, participate as a member of the hiring team in developing the candidate criteria and recruit passive candidates.
- Evaluate performances by monitoring reports and uphold a culture of sales success through performance plans and terminations
- Manufacture outcomes (by way of new customers) and hit the number
What You Bring
- 5+ years of front-line sales experience, preferably in the tech space and/or media sales
- 3+ year of management and leadership experience required (managing managers)
- Expertise in sales tools; salesforce.com, Salesloft or Outreach preferred
- Detailed understanding of sales processes, sales reporting including sales forecasting, territory planning & management required
- A natural leader with a proven ability to grab the attention of your team and drive them toward a common goal
- Self-confident with the ability to work with and influence senior management
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, gaining trust and confidence as a strategic partner from all levels within the organization
- Very strong work ethic and team player with a positive “figure it out, do what it takes” attitude
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and communication skills
- An understanding of IT technologies / IT pros and how they like to work, communicate, learn, and have fun
- Grace under fire (you can make critical decisions and problem solve amid chaos)
