Job Description

Strike Acceptance has an amazing opportunity for a Director of Loan Servicing to join our growing team at our office in Irving. The role has direct responsibility over a small team as well as managing the partnership with our outsourcing team that assists with collections on Strike accounts. This role reports into the VP of Operations and is responsible for assisting in managing the entire collections life cycle. Please note that the right candidate for this role must have leadership experience within the auto finance industry.

What You're Doing

  • Supervises the daily activities of the collections team both within the company and the partnerships outside of the company that help with collections.
  • Directs workflow, assign queues as needed to help meet operational needs and goals.
  • Prepares weekly, and monthly reports for management (utilizing excel and internal technology). Must have strong analytical skills.
  • Coordinates and handles the training of new employees. Ensures that the new hire has a full understanding of the departmental procedures and their responsibilities.
  • Monitors teamwork performance, provides leadership, one-on-one coaching, guidance, feedback, and motivation. Promotes teamwork and cross training.
  • Responsible for and participates as necessary in audit functions and call reviews. Identify and recommend changes in reaction to any trends.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures. Comply with all State, Federal laws, and regulations with regards to appropriate contact/dialogue with consumers. Listen to recorded and monitor calls, also reviews account activity to ensure compliance.
  • Responsible for setting the Servicing Team's strategies, pay plans and working with Risk Analytics related to goals and metrics.
  • Other duties assigned by Management.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in collections, skip-tracing, bankruptcies, fraud, repossession and recovery.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of leadership experience with hands on experience related to Servicing Strategies and Analytics.
  • Must have Collections Auto Finance Industry experience.
  • Strong ability to train, coach and lead a growing team.
  • Strong knowledge of FDCPA, FCRA, USA Patriot Act, bankruptcy, fraud investigation techniques, fraud prevention, settlements, and multi-State repossession laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving, and strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations, have patience and ability to manage stress, while keeping emotions under control.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines with accuracy and adapt quickly to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to act quickly in decision making by using good judgement.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively across departments and levels of staff and management to solve problems and improve operations.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
