Job Summary: This role will have primary responsibility for leading all LKQ’s global operational cybersecurity. This includes:

  • Management of all operational security technologies such as SEIM, EDR, E-mail security, SWG, CASB, Vuln Scanners, etc.,
  • Ensuring effective monitoring and timely/appropriate response to any cybersecurity threats, etc.


Essential Job Duties

  • Ensure that a risk prioritized set of threat monitoring use cases are defined and operationalized within the SOC.
  • Leverage security threat intelligence provided by key partners and ensure that all team members are current on all new threat trends
  • Escalate any potential security incidents to the appropriate security incident response team and provide ongoing support in investigation and response to potential security incidents.


Operational Security Technology and Services

  • Manage contracts and relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.
  • Ensure that all operational security technology solutions and services are appropriately administered to maintain continuous operational status.
  • Work with program management and other key IT partners on design and implementation of new operational security technologies.
  • Drive periodic execution of operational security reviews including privileged access reviews, firewall config reviews, quarterly security operations technology (with key vendors), quarterly business reviews (with key vendors/partners), etc.
  • Serve as key interface with internal and external auditors (such as providing periodic evidence related to any operational security activities).
  • Ensure timely and thorough coordination and communication of all operational security activities key security and IT partners throughout LKQ.
  • Establish and define appropriate SLAs and define operational performance KPIs for all areas of responsibility and publish to management at least monthly.
  • Assume other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in IT security and/or controls related role


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, IT, Computer Science or related field
  • Master’s degree


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • CISSP, CISM, CISA, GCIH, GCIA or other related industry certifications


Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Some travel as required (<10%)
