Team Trilogy – It’s Where You Belong
The Director of Financial Reporting leads and directs the preparation, maintenance, compilation and analysis of the Company’s financial records and statistical reports.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the Director of Financial Reporting:
- Leads the process to prepare, input and reviews journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Analyzes and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts monthly and ensures that accountants maintain appropriate supporting documentation of assigned accounts.
- Directs, generates and distributes monthly financial and statistical reports to management.
- Generates ad-hoc reports and assists management with interpretation and analysis of trend and variance reports.
- Reviews consolidated financial statements for proper accounting treatment of revenue and expense items to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Leads and directs accounting staff on accounting-related issues.
- Provides training on accounting and related systems on an as-needed basis.
- Leads and guides the coordination of accounting-related procedures to Synchrony staff as needed.
- Reviews fixed asset accounting including monthly recording of depreciation and maintenance of tax depreciation schedules.
- Communicates with auditors and outside accounting firm to review transactional items in a timely fashion.
- Directs the preparation of audit schedules and other reports for external auditors.
- Acts as liaison with outside records storage-company and maintains a listing of records in storage.
- Recruits, screens, selects, hires, trains, coaches, counsels and develops a team of qualified and highly motivated individuals.
- Conserves resources by adhering to financial stewardship using prudent judgment related to expense(s) incurred by the Company.
- Manages updating and accuracy of five-year forecast model for Synchrony Health Services.
- Leads annual operating and capital budget process for the different Synchrony business lines.
- Periodic travel including overnight stay as necessary.
- Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.
- Supports campuses, departmental goals, and the overall objectives of the Company.
- Complies with all laws, regulations and standards of ethical conduct.
- Responsible for uncompromising levels of cleanliness and safety.

You would be a great fit for our team if you have the following:
Four (4) year degree in accounting, business management, or economics preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience. Master’s degree require
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
- Seven (7) to ten (10) years’ financial/accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting. Pharmacy, Rehab, Labs, X-Rays, Healthcare, senior living industry or long-term care environment preferred.
- Oracle, Smartview, EPM products or equivalent preferred.
- Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
