Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Director of Finance. This is a telecommute position and we are open to accepting candidates from AK, OR, WA, CA, MT, NM and TX.
Providence is seeking a Finance Director who will serve as a trusted advisor to Providence Leaders with a focus on driving financial management and improvement within the organization. The finance director partners with key decision makers in influencing financial performance, decisions, and strategy for those service areas supported. This role will partner closely with System Finance, Revenue Cycle leadership and Operations to translate financial results to Revenue cycle execution. Additionally, this role is responsible for working with Revenue Cycle operations and leadership to evaluate initiatives for impact and course correction needed.
The incumbent performs all duties in a manner that promotes Providence mission, values, and philosophy. In all aspects, this role serves as a role model for the values and mission of the organization.
Core Accountabilities:
- Develop a trusted partnership with Revenue cycle leaders to improve their understanding of revenue cycle execution to Providence financial results.
- Develop deep understanding of net revenue, accounts receivable, and financial drivers for system, regional, and entity level results.
- Be able to analyze financial results and connect them to the Revenue cycle activities that both directly and indirectly impact them. This requires deeper understanding of revenue cycle operations and execution drivers.
- Provide insights, observations, and recommendations for opportunities to reduce AR days, improve time to collect, reduction in time of payment received, and optimize cost to manage.
- Regularly present to revenue cycle and finance leaders net revenue results, drivers, opportunities, issues, plans and effectiveness of initiatives.
- Develop and drive weekly dashboard reporting, in coordination with Revenue Cycle Insights & Optimization team, that provides visibility into financial results and operational drivers to enable leaders and process owners to quickly and easily understand issues and opportunity areas.
- Participate, identify and recommend initiatives in Revenue Cycle Operations initiative and process improvement process. This includes partnering with revenue cycle initiative owners and sponsors to evaluate and prioritize initiatives based on financial feasibility, budget and impact.
- Work with Revenue Cycle FP&A Analysts to define, structure, and implement financial processes required for managing and monitoring any new initiatives in accordance with Providence policy and standards.

Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 8 years In a leadership role or capacity
- 10 or more years Closely related experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Certified Public Accountant.
- HFMA or FACHE.
- Master's Degree (MBA, CPA, CMA)
