Job Description

Bath Community Hospital is a patient-focused small hospital in rural Virginia that offers excellent working conditions, a team environment, and opportunities for professional development. The Director of Finance and Decision Support is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing BCH's annual operating budget and monitoring its financial performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Annual budget development, budget variance analysis, and cost accounting
  • Prepare and distribute decision support analyses to meet the operational and financial needs
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for BCH, coordinate the preparation of BCH’s annual operating budget, file cost reports, tax returns and various other reports with the appropriate regulatory agencies, and coordinate BCH’s annual outside audit.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Accounting, Finance, IT or related field (required)
  • Master’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration (preferred)
  • Five years of progressive management experience in healthcare (required)
  • Prior experience in a Critical Access Hospital or Physician Practice (preferred)

Pay: $105,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
