What you will have an opportunity to do:
This position will be responsible for supervising and directing the independent portfolio Central Accounting Office of Benchmark Pyramid. This role will be based our of our Corporate office in Woodlands, TX.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review the monthly financial results, confirming accuracy of the information
- Review balance sheet reconciliations for accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
- Maintain Treasury-related functions including banking setup and controls, optimization of funds.
- Provide training on systems and processes to direct staff as well as field support as needed.
- Coordinate with Transition team for transitioning properties.
- Supervise the managers/controllers/staff accountants in the Central Accounting Office
- Provide ad hoc analysis as needed.
- Provide financial leadership to the Central Accounting Office with focus on adherence to Company accounting policy and procedures, GAAP and USALI principles.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of five years financial management experience with increasing management responsibility in hotel finance and accounting
- Developed accounting, finance and analytical skills including experience with cash management, forecasting, revenue management strategies, long-term capital expenditures planning and project management skills.
- Four-year college degree in a business curriculum to include Intermediate accounting and Financial fundamentals
- Demonstrates ability to evaluate business trends to influence business strategies
- Resourceful in resolving issues and solving problems, leveraging resources to get results
- Strong leadership skills for leading and mentoring a team
- Supports, manages and initiates change within the organization, taking steps to remove barriers or to accelerate its pace
- Possesses strong organizational and project management skills, is multi-task oriented, and has a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering on goals
