Evaluation and Coaching
- Work with principal to facilitate rapid teacher development through a rigorous coaching and feedback cycle
- Work with leaders and teachers to ensure core academic program elements are in place in all classrooms, subject areas and grade levels
- Build deep, trusting relationships with teachers to encourage staff and influence their practice
- Execute formal evaluation cycles for teachers
- Develop cohort and school-level professional development sessions to address common areas for improvement
- Support curriculum review, revision and development to continually improve the quality of instructional resources
- Coordinate master schedule to maximize student learning
Leadership and Management
- Ensure high-quality lessons aligned to state standards and Archdiocesan academic standards are implemented in every classroom
- Lead data-driven cohort meetings to focus on areas to improve instruction
- Facilitate diagnostic, end of year and ongoing benchmark testing, including compiling results, managing database, and identifying trends
- Serve as a member of the school leadership team to shape the direction of the school and coordinate interdepartmental practice
- Provide direct management to teachers around academic practices and professional responsibilities including grading and assessments
- Work with the Reading Specialist, teachers, and student support personnel to create comprehensive action plans for our struggling students
Pre-requisites
- At least 3 years of teaching experience with a track record of success driving measureable student gains
- Experience collaborating with teachers to identify and prioritize areas for development
- Commitment to Catholic education and preferred past involvement in the Catholic community
- Demonstrated ability leading a team of professionals
- Experience analyzing data to identify curricular, instructional, and coaching trends
- Ability to model exemplary instructional and cultural school practices
- Experience developing and delivering professional development to groups of teachers
- Deep content knowledge and understanding of curriculum
- Dedication to coaching to dramatically improves teacher performance
- Master's degree preferred in Education Administration or in Curriculum and Instruction
