Summary
Under limited supervision performs assigned project tasks and operational activities in accordance with required timelines. Conducts oversight and training related activities. Monitors and provides support for project activities. Capable of supervising project staff. Out of state travel required.
Essential Competencies, Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads, develops work plans and tracks timelines for all aspects of assigned contract tasks which will include assignments from the following list:
- Monthly and/or Annual Reports
- Technical Assistance
- Training
- Quality Assurance Guidelines
- Web site maintenance
- Data related activities
- Collaborating with external organizations
- Mode experiment
- Discrepancy Reports, Exemption Requests, and Exceptions Requests
- Payment programs as indicated by CMS (i.e. Value Based Purchasing, Star Ratings, etc.)
- Performs Quality Assurance Plan reviews, conducts oversight teleconferences and on-site visit activities.
- Prepares project flow charts, procedure documents, meeting minutes, and technical reports; and presents findings.
- Collaborates with project partners, regional/national CMS, and participating organizations and survey vendors to facilitate conducting project activities.
- Collaborates with project staff to identify system and process issues, root causes, and resolutions pertaining to hospital and survey vendor oversight.
- Prepare clear and complete project documentation.
Job Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Master's degree preferred) in business, health related field or other related discipline.
- Five years’ experience in healthcare project management.
Other Qualifications
- Attention to detail; able to multi-task and prioritize various project tasks; must be highly organized.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including formal presentation skills.
- Basic knowledge of health care survey administration practices and methodologies preferred.
- Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets programs and database programs (Microsoft Office).
