The Opportunity
OpenText is seeking a Director of Web Marketing to drive the direction of our website functionality and scale growth of our ecommerce business. This role will lead web marketing programs, execute front-end website projects, and motivate a high-performing team of web marketing managers and UX designers.
Reporting directly to the VP of Demand Generation, the Director of Web Marketing will need to be savvy with marketing technology, have a deep understanding of B2C, B2B and ecommerce analytics, and be an exceptional communicator and presenter. This role is responsible for ensuring that our websites support sales efforts and hit growth targets globally. Working cross-functionally across key groups including Sales, Product, Marketing, Support, Implementation, and Success, this role will create campaigns that leverage content, search, display, email, social media, marketing automation, and design, and will utilize analytics systems to continually measure and optimize performance.
This role is a vital part of the marketing leadership team that will help drive the next phase of growth for the SMB/C unit of OpenText. It is a critical partnership with our IS/IT teams to drive the vision of our web properties.

You Are Great At
Oversight and development of website marketing strategy and vision
Manage, train and motivate the Web & UX team and introduce best practice to all activities and initiatives
Oversight of web project management including prioritization of projects with Creative Services and EBS teams
Manage Web team budget, procurement management and tech stack
Drive and optimize the site to hit the ecommerce bookings sales targets
Develop and oversee governance and standards for the websites, including user experience (UX), accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), mobile responsiveness, CMS platform, website forms, and web/interactive content
Collaborate with the Search Marketing team to ensure web properties maintain Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices
Responsible for creation and management of the main site’s content – inclusive of landing pages and international site translations
Monitors website use, trends and user metrics
Collaborates with larger SMB/C Marketing team develop, monitor, and manage large scale digital marketing efforts
Establish and meet SMB/C goals, team goals and individual goals
Establish and lead an internal Web Strategy Steering Committee
Provide best practices leadership in web marketing for internal and external audiences
Closely collaborate with key stakeholders – Sales leadership, IS/IT engineering, Customer Success, Product Marketing - to achieve goals

What It Takes
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing or Business
8-10+ years proven experience in leading web marketing programs and teams
Strong experience managing a team/technical staff, preferably digital marketing or web teams
Strong experience managing website design, as well as CMS and website redevelopment projects
Strong experience in ecommerce management and strategy
Experience in digital marketing programs, including conversion rate optimization and SEO
Experience in project management software
Experience in the management of Enterprise Content Management Systems (CMS) and system infrastructure
IT/System Admin experience a plus
Experience in and knowledge of website analytics tools (Google Analytics, etc.)
Experience in and knowledge of website quality control tools
Demonstrated excellent communication skills, interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills #

The minimum salary for this role is $140k USD with a performance-based bonus.
