Director, Investment Proposals

Our client is a well established rapidly growing third-party logistics (3PL) company with over 3 decades of experience in Warehousing, Distribution, Retail and eCommerce fulfillment (think Amazon). They are looking for talented professionals who can help them stand at the forefront of the logistics industry today. They are looking for Director, Investment Proposals to join their team.

Summary:
Responsible for financial planning analysis of the Companys operation and corporate overhead entities. Given the significant impact this role has on the business, a deep level of leadership experience is required and proven business acumen is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a growing team of Managers and Analysts in managing North American (NAM) regions strategic investments.
• Collaborates with the Investment Board and lead integration of organic and inorganic acquisitions for the Region.
• Partners with North American Leadership Team to align weekly, monthly and quarterly investment updates to the Board.
• Will be the owner driving integration of best-in-class processes across additional investment types and vehicles.
• Provides financial investment guidance, leads monthly reconciliations and partners with Corporate FPA to ensure all growth plans for capacity and investments are reflected in Region and Global BI Tools, including any audit requirements.
• Is a key leader of the Companys Commercial leadership, ensuring all growth requirements needing investment are priced, reported and planned properly, in accordance to both customer requirements as well as internal controls.
• Assists leadership teams in understanding the business dynamics including relationships, models, trends, leading indicators and business statistics related to Capacity, Innovation and future Investments to drive Scale and Synergy.
• Understands key revenue drivers and impact on the PL.
• Investment return analysis of capital expenditures or cost savings programs.
• Excels as a member in a cross-functional team and confident when presenting in front of executive leadership.
• Will support an VP of NAM Pricing and Investments to improve regional scale across product processes and acquisitions.
• Works with Strategy, Marketing and Business Development to develop business cases in support of product strategy.
• Key Region point of contact for Global reapplication of North American best-in-class processes and innovations.

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced environment with ongoing exposure to senior leadership.
• Proven business acumen supporting multiple levels of management.
• Ability to manage and guide a team of three employees and collaborate with operational functional teams concurrently.
• Advanced experience in the following:
• Financial Analysis
• Financial/Strategic Planning
• Budgeting/Forecasting
• Financial Modeling using MS Excel
• Financial Reporting systems
• (Anaplan, BI360, MS Power BI, NetSuite) and/or an ERP system is preferred
• Bachelors Degree, MBA strongly preferred w/ Big 4 Accounting, Audit w/ Real Estate experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Director/VP Finance-equivalent working for service companies preferred
• Alternatively, 2-3 years of experience as Director/VP Finance-equivalent working in 3PL and Ocean logistics and services
• Experience working for 3PL, Distribution, Transportation, Warehousing, or service-related company; or experience in Supply Chain Logistics strongly preferred, including procurement and funding experience in negotiations will be helpful
• Full PL responsibility in a mid-size company or larger preferred
