Leads and oversees the Finance Domain technology team for GBME, which has responsibility for the following

areas:

  • BAU application management and support for the US / EMEA Finance function;
  • Axiom delivery and BAU Application support for the US / UK / Ireland region implementation of Axiom;
  • Establishment and management of the Regulatory systems COE team in Columbia / EMEA;
  • GWRT Finance Domain data delivery supporting the Finance strategic programs (Hammer, Brexit, Loan
  • IQ, UK / Ireland Regulatory, US Regulatory);
  • US GBME technology delivery lead for the key strategic Finance programs in partnership with the Finance
  • organization and GFRT partners (Hammer, COBRA, Regional Finance Regulatory Reporting programs);
  • Member of US/ EMEA Technology management team supporting the US CIO in all regional matters
  • impacting the department.
  • 7 direct reports responsible for the Finance teams, total team size of 62 resources across 4 regions (Canada / US / Columbia and EMEA) with potential to expand into APAC in the future.

A key success factor for this role will be to develop and manage relationships with key global stakeholders

within Finance; GBME; GFRT and DGO.

This role has both a run the bank responsibility to support, govern and provide a risk free environment for US

Finance stakeholders and a change the bank responsibility to govern, drive strategy and provide high quality

program management resources and oversight for the significant strategic programs that are being executed.

Is this role right for you? You will be responsible for:

1. US / EMEA Finance BAU Governance and Management

  • Managing and maintaining a comprehensive, streamlined and efficient BAU Governance framework for the US / EMEA Finance user community within the local regional CIO organization.
  • Managing BAU teams to secure fitness of resources, tracking of spend against budget and identification of future improvements and changes as these occur.
  • Effectively supporting production application systems, business users and IT colleagues on all aspects of systems support – either directly owned (Axiom SL) or in partnership with the appropriate technology owners (GBM Data Platform, Oracle, Peoplesoft) and Application production support and Infrastructure support.
  • Ensuring all production incidents are Investigated and suitable solutions are formulated and implemented.
  • Monitoring the performance of the Finance production environment and support the “housekeeping” and day-to-day maintenance of those systems in liaison with local, regional and global technology support teams.
  • Ensuring effective communication is maintained through timely sharing and exchange of information across the impacted IT teams and business users as required.
  • Ensuring IT governance, standards, procedures and regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Managing ongoing BAU changes and enhancements adhering to the Firms standards for release management.
  • Managing the Axiom, OneSumx vendor relationship.
  • Supporting in partnership with technology and business partners all internal / external audits and responses to Regulators.

2. Axiom Delivery, Axiom BAU Application Support, Regulatory Technology COE (Global)

  • Accountable for the delivery of Axiom SL for the UK and Ireland region as part of the GBM Finance strategic programs executed in that region, in addition to any other global GBM sites that adopt Axiom.
  • Providing skilled Axiom resources – developers and technical business analysts in support of these programs;
  • Overall GWRT technology delivery lead for the UK / Ireland regulatory programs covering Axiom / GBM Data Platform and OneSumx implementation to support these programs.
  • Ensuring IT governance, standards, procedures and regulations are adhered to at all times;
  • Recruiting, training and establishing a team of Axiom specialists in Columbia to provide development and application support for all instances of Axiom implemented in the GWRT Technology domain.

3. GBM Finance Data Acquisition and Delivery (Global)

  • Accountable for the delivery of the required GBM data to support the Finance global strategic programs of work.
  • Partnering with the GBM Data Platform development team, DGO and upstream GWRT technology teams in the identification, analysis, acquisition and validation of all required GBM trade and reference data to support.
  • Providing skilled Finance data analyst resources –business and technical data analysts able to perform this work – provide deep subject matter business expertise on the GBM data to support Finance needs.
  • Partnering with DGO, US Technology Data Technology Domain and GBM Data Platform development teams in developing and executing the overall strategy for data acquisition in the GBM Division.
  • Ensuring IT governance, standards, procedures and regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Programs of work currently covered by this global data team include – all Hammer implementations, all US / UK regulatory reporting implementations, UK / Ireland Brexit Finance delivery; COBRA; Loan IQ and any other GBM Finance programs that require the acquisition of high quality GBM data.

4. GBME US Finance Technology Delivery Lead – Finance Strategic Programs

  • Strategic Finance change programs are being executed in close partnership with Finance, and Global Finance and Risk Technology teams (GFRT);
  • Accountable for activities relating to program governance, program management and provision of business analysis and project management resources required by these programs;
  • Subject matter expertise and strategy leadership in the GBM Finance, Finance technology, Finance data domain in developing and delivery of the technology solutions across the GBME and GFRT technology stack in close partnership with GFRT technology management;
  • Stakeholder management in project governance activities with Finance function in the US / EMEA and Toronto;
  • Projecting finance tracking and administration for the US Program workforce and project budgets.
  • Understanding how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • 15+ years of professional experience in a similar role managing large scale, complex global programs in the Finance technology domain
