Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
Under limited supervision, this leadership position is responsible for overall organizational development for the School of Medicine-Columbia ( SOMC ). The position is also responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating employee development for the SOMC . Serves as a key member of the school’s leadership team, including strategic planning, organizational development, and active participation in the School???s Executive Committee, and oversees school-wide special projects at the request of the Dean or Assistant Dean. Demonstrates commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Master’s degree in a related field and 5 years’ experience in training development, human resource management, management engineering, organizational effectiveness and development, or any other job related experience; or Bachelor’s degree and 7 years related experience
Professional certification related to the position.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree is highly desirable. Experience in a medical academic setting is highly preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Must be able to analyze statistical data for critical indicators. Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form to all levels and work with large groups of faculty, physicians and team members. Required to conduct business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations.
