The System Director will have multiple areas of responsibility, and therefore must have exceptional organizational skill, and be skilled at mentoring and developing others. The Director plans, organizes, and directs the work for areas of responsibility and does this in accordance with the Health System’s Mission, Vision, Values and Philosophy. The director will lead integration of programs across the system, finding opportunities for efficiency and improved performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to develop, articulate and implement a strategic vision for Departments he/she is responsible for which align with System Mission and Vision.
- Excellent business acumen and analytical skills. Strong problem solving abilities in complex situations. Strong financial skills; ability to manage budgets and teams to meet organizational objectives.
- Experience in areas of cost savings, expenditure controls, and efficiencies in health care operations. A visible leader with outstanding relationship building skills with a variety of internal and external contact relationships including physicians, nurses, instructors, and EMS providers. .
- Must possess strong physician relationship skills with a proven track record of collaborative partnering with physician leaders.
- Strong commitment to delivering the highest levels of quality, safety, and customer service.
- Experience with process improvement in operations, quality, and organizational change. Knowledge of continuous quality improvement management principles and practices.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Able to communicate effectively and persuasively with individuals and groups through compassion, creativity, and consistent visibility.

- Facilitates the development of business plans for EMS, Rock Com, REACT, Tactical and Emergency Services and. assists with developing operational efficiencies and new opportunities for generating revenue.
- Requires a broad knowledge of emergency services, business development, marketing, healthcare and business administration, human resources management, fiscal management and planning. Develops implements, evaluates, and enforces department and system policies, procedures and necessary protocols to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies and accreditation organizations.
- Day to day responsibility as the air medical program director for the REACT Air Medical Program and will be responsible for maintaining CAMTS Accreditation status.
- Day to day responsibility for the operations of Rock Com.
- Coordinates all inter/intra facility contracts and billing
- Monitors and assures compliance with MD1 programs and EMS training Centers.
- Prepares quarterly reports assuring compliance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree required; MBA/MHA/MPA or other related field preferred.
Must be familiar with the workings of out-of-hospital emergency care (EMS), the emergency department and trauma services.
Business, reporting and budget management experience in healthcare environment required.
Previous experience in both out-of-hospital and in-hospital emergency care, strongly preferred
