Director, Corporate FP&A and Process Transformation

Reporting to the VP of FP&A, you'll play an important role in shaping MasterClass's financial planning processes and driving the company's hyper-growth. In this high-visibility role, you will be responsible for the strategic financial planning for income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow; delivering accurate financial visibility to executives and leaders; and driving operational impact on strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves finance professional that thrives in a fast-paced environment.

As Director, Corporate FP&A and Process Transformation, you will.

  • Lead consolidated P&L reporting and forecasting processes (monthly, quarterly, annually, and the long-range plan) with a high degree of accuracy and transparency
  • Build and enhance robust financial models through a strategic lens to highlight trends and assess current and future business risks and opportunities
  • Enhance and own various key metrics reporting (including headcount) to support business decisions and optimize resource allocation
  • Work with relevant business leaders to create the overall Finance Operations strategy for Corporate functions and associated activities
  • Develop the overall roadmap for improving processes, enhancing systems, and creating necessary alignment between different finance organizations to streamline the current work of Corporate Finance activities
  • Leverage automation and digital processes to help the company realize significant performance improvements quickly.
  • Inspire coworkers in thinking about challenging situations in new and transformative ways
  • Lead financing-related activities, investor relations-related reporting, and audit requests
  • Prepare executive management presentations, including monthly reporting packages, BoD, and QBR
  • Manage 1-2 direct reports

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent. A Master's degree is a plus
  • 10+ years of FP&A and financial reporting experience, ideally in a Series E+ high-growth start-up
  • Strong analytical thinker who is adept at complex analysis
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a clear and effective manner at an executive level in both presentations and written memos
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Shows versatility and adaptability to handle a highly diverse workload and manages simultaneous activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple complex projects in parallel
  • Experience in financial systems such as Netsuite, Salesforce, Adaptive Planning, etc.
  • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally with departments throughout the organization
  • Investment banking or Big 4 accounting experience is a plus
