Job Description
The Communications Consultant oversees the execution of marketing initiatives in partnership with marketing and distribution colleagues aimed at acquiring, developing and retaining clients utilizing traditional as well as segmentation, marketing automation, digital and social methods. As a subject matter expert in relationship marketing, this job designs and oversees the delivery of advertising, marketing and communication materials across a business unit/function or enterprise-wide to ensure successful distribution to all new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Designs marketing initiatives that develop strong connections with customers by providing them with information directly suited to their needs and interests.

  • Focuses on forming long-term relationships with prospects and customers to achieve deeper, more meaningful connections with prospects and customers.

  • Champions customer relationship marketing initiatives and works with senior executives and managers to establish a consistent relationship marketing focus across the organization.

  • Oversees the organization of document libraries, promotional pages, and marketing updates, including Seismic, SharePoint site and institutional website in alignment with the broader organization marketing strategy, ensuring strategic prioritization in keeping with current campaigns and focus areas.

  • Approves channel-specific content, including sales presentations, collateral, web content and field educational for institutional distribution partners.

  • Develops relationship marketing project budgets, obtaining competitive estimates and overseeing the spending to ensure budget expectations are met.

Required Qualifications:
  • Five years of marketing experience, preferably in Financial Services
  • Five years of working with retirement products
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications or advertising (or related field)
  • One year experience working with marketing process automation/workflow tracking system
  • Experience in a B2B (Institutional) marketing role highly desired
  • Experience in leading large, multi-channel campaigns
  • Experience in consulting with external clients
  • Experience in working and leading cross-functional teams/projects
  • Expert strategic marketing planning and analytical skills
  • Experience managing agency relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal presentation skills
  • Ability to function effectively in an environment of ongoing change and reorganization
  • Potential travel up to 30% of time (At this time, however, client interactions are being handled virtually. This will continue until further notice)
Potential Salary: $119,900.00 USD Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
