We are looking for hands on Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our Verland family in our Community Living Arrangement (CLA) houses. The CLA houses are individual houses spread throughout different communities in the Greater Pittsburgh area with multiple residents that reside in each home.

As a DSP at Verland we take the skills you already possess; Compassion,Advocacy,* Responsibility, Empathy (*C.A.R.E) and accelerate them. We give you the tools and training to help turn your existing skills into a rewarding career. We lean on our DSPs to support and encourage individuals with intellectual disabilities to become as independent as possible. As a DSP, you will be thoroughly trained by Verland, to help teach daily living, social, personal hygiene skills, along with each individual’s personal goals that are important to them and so much more. At Verland the relationship between our DSP’s and our individuals is really "like family".
Required Experience:

Requirements:

• Must be able to successfully pass required background clearances
• Must be able to successfully pass a Physical, TB test, and drug screening
• Must be able to pass medication administration course
• Must be able to lift 50lbs independently, drive, stand, bend, walk, push, pull, climb, and reach
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license
