Direct Support Professional (Part Time / Full Time)

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) of Residential Services works with adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities providing assistance and instruction to strengthen life skills. This position requires a compassionate direct care professional as you will be assisting adults with day to day living. Client care, housekeeping, medication administration, and documentation are major responsibilities of the DSP.

We currently offer Full Time or Part Time positions. - Weekends/Flexibility a must. (i.e., evenings 4p-12a , overnights 12a-8a or 11p-9a). Starting $16.00hrly up to $17.50hrly; biweekly pay. Benefits offered to eligible full time employees after 60 days.

Basic responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Direct Care assisting clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, assistance with bathroom use, tooth brushing
• Position requires documentation which should be clear and concise.
• Housekeeping and Sanitization
• Providing Companionship
• Van driving for errands, appointments, or social events
• Medication Administration
• Client safety and support
• Incident documentation and follow up
• Assisting with Meal Preparations and Food Shopping
• Attending Medical Appts and advocating on behalf of the client.
• Safety and Upkeep of Residential Group Home Properties Reporting Concerns to Supervisors

• CPR Certification a plus; Experience and Flexibility a must as hours vary for the needs of the Program, must be willing to work throughout the Hudson County Area.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Highschool Diploma/Equiv.

Valid New Jersey Driver?s License.

Twenty-one years of age or older.

Strong computer skills in Microsoft word and excel.

Minimum of three-year experience with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities including one-year residential experience.

Professional disposition.

A negative i3Screen (drug test) result mandated by Grant
