Royal Community Supports is looking for a self-motivated, energetic Direct Support Professional to support an individual that lives in Montclair NJ

Adult living in Montclair seeking P/T DSP support in order to both enjoy mutual hobbies as well as to provide assistance with developing skills needed to live on one's own. This individual currently lives with parents but will be looking at finding an apartment in the not too distant future - requires assistance to develop skills and independence around housekeeping and executive organization. When not doing that, this person is looking for a mature person who enjoys things like the Apple store, roaming Best Buy, learning about technology and how things are designed - also enjoys working on model airplane kits and similar model making. Hours are flexible, 3 weekdays per week for approximately 15-20 hours per week. This is a great position for someone who shares those interests and wants to be a mentor to someone about to go off on their own! Starts at $16/hr.

3 flexible weekdays 15-20 hours

Qualifications:

Must be able to recognize that disability is a label and not a description

Must be 18 years old or older

Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent

Must have a car

Must have valid driver's license and good driving record

Must be willing to have a background check

Must be willing to take a drug screening

Must be authorized to legally work in the United States
