WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Direct Care Staff / Travel Companions will exclusively travel with the children discharged from the program and who are being reunited with family members. When the staff is not traveling with clients they will work in the UAC facility as Direct Care Staff. They manage the behavior of UAC through approved treatment modalities and adhering to ORR standards, state licensing standards, and GCJFCS policies/procedures. They serve as positive role models to the residents, provide crisis intervention, provide necessary transportation, and render first aid when necessary. They are supervised by the Assistant Program Director, or, in his/her absence, by the Shift Supervisor, with the Program Director’s direction.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- $17.85 per hour PLUS $.50 per hour for working during 2nd shift hours and $1.00 per hour for working overnight and weekend hours

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years’ experience working with children.
- Experience in a residential or mental health treatment setting preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
- A valid Florida driver license or ability to acquire Florida driver license & proof of auto insurance
- Proof of Immunization for: Varicella (2 doses), MMR (2 dose), Influenza (1 dose yearly), Tdap (1 dose)
