Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, the Director position performs a variety of project-oriented tasks to support the financial and strategic needs of Lasko. This position is responsible for organizational financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis. Concurrently, it ensures consistency with the business strategy, consistency and alignment across projects, as well as customer satisfaction and results.


KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works closely with supply chain leads to incorporate financial and strategic analysis into key business decisions. This position will be the finance business partner for the Supply Chain team.
  • Supports monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes including analysis, interpretation, and communication of results
  • Develops effective reports, presentations, and analysis for use by management and external stakeholders
  • Develops, analyzes, and reconciles statistical and accounting information for monthly and quarterly financial statement reviews
  • Assesses operating results in terms of profitability and performance against plan/prior year to ensure accuracy and identify opportunities
  • Develops key KPI reporting including Cost Per Unit and partners with operations to drive profit improvements through cost savings initiatives
  • Participates in annual strategic planning and budgeting, monthly forecasting, and management reporting processes
  • Creates appropriate metrics and KPIs, reporting tools, and dashboards that give insight into the performance of the business
  • Participates in the evaluation of investment opportunities including product and service expansion proposals, geographic expansion initiatives and capital projects
  • Works closely with S&OP team to ensure sales and operations are aligned
  • Manages and leads a team of plant controllers and cost analysts

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of corporate finance-related experience and/or financial services professional looking to make transition into corporate finance with consistent career progression
  • Experience in a strategic finance or FP&A function, using financial analyses to inform business decisions
  • Strategic thinking / business analytical skills
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Power Point and proficiency with ERPs/business intelligence tools
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in developing cost savings tracking tools to support plant initiatives
  • Experience managing a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or Economics or a related field
