Job Description
Dining Room Supervisor- Independent Living St Camillus is currently looking for a full time or part time working supervisor to oversee a culinary team. Full time working 80hrs every two weeks from 10:30am-7:00pm with rotating weekends. Part time availability can be discussed upon interview. Responsibilities
  • Oversees dining room operations: scheduling, assignments, meal service
  • Responsible for maintaining furniture, fixtures and equipment maintenance and cleaning schedules
  • Maintains high standards of safety and quality for food transportation and service
  • Maintains daily temperature logs for refrigerators, freezers and dish machine
  • Makes recommendations to Culinary Director regarding equipment, tools, resource replacement and acquisition
  • Develop continued improvement plans for: operational needs - service, order taking, storage
  • Coordinates special menu/event needs with Culinary Director and Executive Chef
  • Maintains appropriate inventory levels and rotation of dry stock and a la carte items
  • Completes product orders and maintenance requests as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two or more years of food service supervising with supervisory experience
  • Computer knowledge including Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Experience in purchasing food, liquor, minor equipment, etc., preferred
  • One year catering and banquet experience desirable
  • Experience in purchasing food, liquor, minor equipment, etc., preferred
  • Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs.
