Riverton Country Club
Dining Room Manager
The Club
Riverton Country Club (RCC) is a private club that offers a full range of athletic and social activities including golf, tennis, bowling and swimming. RCC was founded in 1900 when the leaders of Riverton Village decided to introduce golf to the bustling community. In 1915, the
Club decided to expand from 9 holes to 18 holes and engaged world famous golf course architect
Donald Ross to execute the design. The new course opened in late summer of 1917.
In 2000, RCC celebrated its 100th anniversary. In 2017, we celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Donald Ross Golf Course. In the latter half of the 20th Century, Riverton had some of the best female players in this area, and for a few years, one of the five best in the world – Dorothy Porter.
In 2018, the club completed Phase I of the Donald Ross restoration of the golf course. The balance of the restoration is slated to be executed during the winter/spring of 2021/2022.
