The Role
Signet is looking for an energetic and experienced Solution Architect for the Digital eCommerce and Technology Architecture team. Part of an engaging team of solution architects, this individual will work in a large enterprise environment on a variety of complex architectures. The SA designs and implements enterprise grade solutions collaborating with the business, technical teams and vendors; evaluating and providing best of the breed solutions. Job responsibilities will involve assisting with the creation and execution of the information technology architecture roadmap, working with domain architects to design roadmaps for relevant domains, and determining operational gaps and developing methods for improvement. This role interacts with other Solution architects in overseeing all design and development activity happening across Digital product and project teams to ensure web, mobile, and integration best practices, with security and privacy in mind.

Responsibilities
- Participate and lead customer meetings to gathers requirements and architect enterprise grade solutions utilizing latest mobile frameworks
- Create technical designs that support digital eCommerce and technology applications; be a subject matter expert and deconstruct complex legacy monolithic applications and create technical solutions that ultimately lead to the design of headless architecture based on micro services.
- Collaborate closely with Application architecture and Developments team in eCommerce to ensure all future solutions are built with Mobile first methodology.
- Play an active role in Digital Architecture Review Board
- Ability to provide thought leadership for best practices and new/emerging concepts in the areas of optimized web/mobile applications, eCommerce, site personalization and cross platform integration. customer data platforms and security.
- Educating technology personnel on best practices in areas like governance models and frameworks.
- Own and lead initiatives to define, design and implement web/mobile solutions which includes reference architectures, estimates, and costing.
- Prepare technical design documents, presentations for architecture review board, reports, and other technical artifacts.
- Collaborate with various business, IT teams and vendors to elicit requirements and implement solutions.
- Ensure that all eCommerce releases meet stringent acceptance criteria for Mobile first and Test-driven approaches.
- Review technical designs different vendor teams produce for accuracy and best practice adherence. Do the same during the development phases to ensure the code produced is of highest quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Technical certifications in cloud and relevant technologies will be a preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive IT experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience as a software architect at a consumer services company delivering solutions running in Cloud infrastructure.
- At least 3 years’ experience with eCommerce platforms such as SAP Hybris, IBM Commerce, Magento, etc. demonstrating building highly reliable, scalable, and available systems
- At least 3 years’ experience with large Integration/API Management solutions (SAP Integration Suite, Apigee API Gateway, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, Mulesoft AnyPoint, etc.)
- Listening, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to translate information into understandable terms to a variety of audiences.
