The Digital Marketing Manager contributes to the success of Sur La Table by managing digital marketing programs that drive omni-channel objectives including e-commerce sales and in-store traffic. This position will be responsible for helping develop and execute the digital marketing strategy, including implementation of new marketing programs and enhancement of existing programs with the goal of driving traffic and sales. They will also be responsible for channel management (SEM, SEO, affiliate, paid social and retargeting). This position requires the ability to work cross-functionally, especially as the main liaison between Marketing Creative and Merchandising. This position reports directly to the General Manager, E-Commerce.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop national advertising and digital marketing plan to drive traffic to the Sur La Table website and traffic to stores
  • Build a customer audience lifecycle marketing plan (new customer acquisition, retention and reactivation) for digital marketing investments across all channels
  • Manage agency partners and vendors to ensure company initiatives are communicated, performance targets are achieved and budgets are maintained
  • Identify emerging technologies and optimize existing technologies to drive online sales
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting on KPI’s
  • Partner with merchandising to identify product and seasonal promotional campaigns
  • Manage and update departmental budget controls to ensure ongoing accountability
  • Work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects, tight deadlines and changing priorities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute marketing initiatives
  • Communicate clearly and concisely to multiple audiences both orally and in writing
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of online marketing experience in a retail/merchandise driven environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Management with a concentration in Marketing or related field
  • Proficiency using third-party analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Heap Analytics), Google Ads (AdWords) and Facebook Ads Manager.
  • Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL for reporting and audience targeting
  • Experience with tag management solutions (Google Tag Manager, Tealium, Adobe DTM)
  • Strong analytical and finance skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
