Position Summary:
The Digital Marketing Manager supports the marketing department across a variety of projects by leading the search engine marketing (SEM) team and efforts. This position relies on a variety of mediums and platforms to achieve overall revenue goals. The key focus of this position is to develop and execute strategies that drive online traffic to the company website using PPC, SEO, and retargeting initiatives. This is a highly analytical and data-led role with a focus on driving traffic and sales and optimizing the customer experience. This role acts as the liaison between the SEM team and other members of the marketing team and must be able to clearly communicate complex initiatives across multiple levels of personnel.
Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:
- Inspire, lead, and develop an existing team of search engine marketing professionals.
- Define the SEM channels’ strategies and manage a continuous and well-documented testing plan while delivering consistent and measurable planned growth and performance improvements, against key metrics.
- Forecast, monitor, analyze, and report on overall search engine marketing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and recommending solutions that maximize business growth while ensuring risk mitigation.
- Create and track against the budget for all SEO, PPC, and Retargeting efforts as a part of the larger department budget.
- Cultivate strategic relationships with technology partners including Google and other vendors.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders and other teams in Marketing, such as
Brand, Creative, Content, and Web to provide integrated marketing support for the website, brand, and revenue initiatives.
- Develop, evaluate, and oversee the implementation of A/B testing protocols and procedures.
- Drive overall conversion rate initiatives, including forecasting and tracking, in order to increase overall customer conversion across all channels.
- Integrate SEM efforts into managing overall online brand and product campaigns to raise general brand awareness.
- Act as a liaison between IT and marketing related to technical SEM issues.
- Ensure clear, accurate, and timely team deliverables such as wireframes and development-ready assets related to recommended updates while also ensuring consistent adherence to Usability Best Practices and overall Brand
Guidelines.
- Review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven team leader with experience growing an existing team.
- Experience with conversion rate optimization (work with some or all - A/B split testing, heat maps, filters, funnels, etc.).
- Experience with industry software such as MOZ, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEM Rush, Brightedge, Marin, and others.
- Prior experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Efficiency with Google Tag Manager and related coding languages
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems required.
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized with a passion for design, accuracy, and quality.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required.
- 5+ years’ experience in B2C digital marketing and advertising.
- Excellent grasp of website metrics and best practices.
- Demonstrable experience with SEO, PPC, retargeting, and lead generation.
- Experience in an e-commerce and revenue-driven marketing department
Skills Required:

- Excellent oral and written interpersonal communication skills
- High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite of products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Google platform
(GoogleDocs, GMail, Google Calendar, Hangouts, Google Analytics)
- CSS & HTML highly preferred
- Salesforce or similar CRM Software
- Proven ability to handle confidential and non-routine information
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has supervisory responsibilities for the Search Engine Marketing Team including PPC, SEO and Retargeting specialists. Supervisory responsibility includes, but is not limited to: staffing, training/developing, performance management, work design and direction, and budgeting. This position may manage employees in multiple offices and locations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
