Program Summary

The Digital Leadership Development Program (DLDP) is an entry-level, rotational program that cycles the participant through three, eight-month rotations designed to give participants an opportunity to learn and contribute to our various business units across RTX. The program allows accelerated development opportunities with the goal of growing world class leaders through exposure to cutting edge principles, products and trends, working with leaders and developing the skills and competencies needed to help shape the company's future.

Associates have the opportunity to deliver real results in the areas of business process, infrastructure and product development. Our commitment to you is to provide front-line, hands-on, meaningful assignments designed to stretch your capabilities and enhance your learning.

In addition to the hands-on experience gained through the rotation assignments, Associates will receive high-caliber training, mentoring and guidance from leading RTX executives, current DLDP Associates and DLDP alumni in order to build a strong and lasting global network of colleagues.

At the end of the 2-year program, associates will engage in a formal off-placement period where career planning sessions, networking events with business unit leaders and formal interviews will be held. Our goal is to place every individual in a full-time role within one of the Digital functional areas listed below.


Rotations Overview

Participants will have the opportunity to work at RTX's dynamic global business units:

  • Collins Aerospace
  • Pratt & Whitney
  • Raytheon Intelligence & Space
  • Raytheon Missiles & Defense
  • RTX Corporate Headquarters


Participants will complete rotations in three of the digital functional areas:

  • Cybersecurity & Risk Management
  • Data Science & Analytics
  • Enterprise Business Systems
  • Infrastructure Services
  • Product Management
  • Software Development
  • User Experience Design

Participants will develop the following critical skills:

  • Agile methodology
  • Change management
  • Customer engagement
  • Project management
  • System architecture
  • User centric design

Education / Qualifications

Raytheon Technologies is looking for capable, self-confident individuals interested in a challenging and rewarding career opportunity. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and the desire to be an agent of positive change. Recruiting now for the class of 2024, which begins in June/July 2022. This program is open to internal and external candidates and is intended for early career professionals who are looking to create value and grow their career at Raytheon.

Selection for the Digital Leadership Development Program will be based on the following minimum criteria:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a specialty in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or other related discipline
  • Degree must be obtained between May 1, 2021, and June 30, 2022
  • At least one relevant internship or co-op experience within Information Technology function
  • While most roles are currently virtual, willingness to relocate at any point throughout 3 rotational assignments (over a two-year period) and flexibility to travel/live anywhere in the US and possibly abroad
  • Strong academic performance, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2
  • Proactive and results-driven individual who thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Preferred strong technical skills in design, development, big data/analytics, infrastructure, IT/Cybersecurity, etc.
