Description
Cipher Tech is seeking TOP SECRET cleared Mid and Senior level forward-deployable digital forensic examiners (CELLEX/MEDEX) to join a team of experts who play a critical role in protecting national security.
Examiners will be based out of Bethesda, MD and, on an as-needed basis, serve 4 to 6-month long deployments to hazardous environments outside the continental United States (OCONUS) in direct support of our military customers.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Candidates must have at least 4 years of experience conducting digital forensic examinations outside of the classroom to meet the Mid-level requirement.
Candidates are expected to perform full-scope forensic examinations and must meet the below requirements:
- Forensic imaging and extraction
- Data obfuscation and steganography detection and analysis
- Large dataset analysis and target text searches
- File Carving
- Metadata extraction and analysis
- Technical report generation
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen with a TOP SECRET security clearance (no exceptions)
- Remote work is not an option.
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Digital Forensics, Criminal Justice, Computer Forensics, Intelligence Studies, or other relevant degree
- Must be willing to deploy to austere/hazardous environments for 4 to 6-month long periods.
- Must have the appropriate number of years' experience, as defined above, conducting digital forensic exams (outside of a classroom setting)
- Must be fluent in either Oxygen, Cellebrite, FTK, Graykey, or XRY.
- Must be experienced with Cellebrite (UFED 4PC and Touch2 and Physical Analyzer (PA))
- Must have strong report writing skills
- Must have experience designing, implementing and documenting digital forensics services to include evidence seizure, digital forensic analysis and data recovery
- Must have experience conveying technical information effectively and concisely to a wide range of audiences
- Must have experience in hardware configuration and network/data communications
- Must have experience in database exploitation/forensics
- Must have fluency with the command line to include creating batch files
- Must have ability to craft SQL queries of basic to moderate complexity
- Must have ability to write simple but functional Python scripts
- Must hold at least one industry certification such as EnCE, ACE, CCE, or GIAC
- Must be 8570 IAT compliant at Level 2 or level 3. Any of the following certifications for these levels will be accepted: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, GCED, GCIH.
Due to the secure nature of the mission critical work that we perform, work must be performed onsite.
