Position Summary

Uses Straumann Scanner to digitally create customer orders based on models provided by the customer. References customer cases submitted via STL upload. Designs restorations including implant and tooth born units using Straumann Cad Software. Works as part of a team to complete the daily workload. Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Create digital input based on customer prescription forms, using models, wax-ups, submitted STLs, etc.
• Ability to create designs for implant abutments, crowns and screw-retained bridges, as well as tooth born restorations
• Email design proposals to customers.
• Modify cases per customers’ requests.
• Use Team Viewer for hands-on assistance with customers’ needs.
• Careful handling and processing of customer property to avoid damage.
• Follow procedures and complete documentation as needed.
• Strictly adhere to documented processes and procedures.
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot equipment and tools used (including scanner)
• Manages time to ensure timely and efficient completion of workflow
• Works with the team, Team Leads, and Supervisor to identify, report, and correct software and workflow issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• CDT preferred
• Minimum 1-year experience in dental CADCAM scanning and designing
• Full contour experience is a plus
• 5 years of hands-on experience in dental laboratory operations is a plus
• A sound dental vocabulary and understanding of function and tooth morphology
• Excellent eyesight, visual acuity, and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to inspect and work using a microscope
• Ability to work with small high-quality parts and recognize detail
• Able to interact with a computer-managed workflow.
• High School Diploma
• Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows
• Experience with Dental Wings/Cares, and Team Viewer a plus
• Ability to be clear and precise in email and verbal communications
• Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
• Capable of creative thinking and problem solving

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• General office environment and manufacturing environment.
• May be exposed to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.
• May require moderate lifting.
• Requires manual dexterity and the ability to manipulate small objects.
