Summary

This role will be primarily responsible for creating, editing, aggregating, curating, optimizing, and managing engaging digital content for the across all Ryder digital platforms. This includes website, emails, applications and paid search. You will also ensure all content created is in alignment with the brand tone, voice, and personality standards set forth by Ryder System, Inc.

Agency copywriting experience is highly preferred.

Specifically, you will be tasked with writing and executing new website content & frequent updates, search engine optimization (SEO) & metadata, paid search (SEM) advertisements, emails, and other related external facing marketing projects. The Digital Copywriter will partner with other writers, segment managers, sales/ops, and other teams within Ryder.

You will work closely with the digital marketing team and colleagues in the integrated marketing team to execute strategic messaging as part of the go-to-market plans developed to meet lead generation, pipeline, and booked revenue goals. Non-digital collateral including sell sheets, brochures, infographics, video scripts, case studies, white papers, blog, and other support material may also be developed by this position.

Essential Functions

  • Create, coordinate, proof brand content for all business units and services (Supply Chain, Dedicated, Fleet Management, Tech & Innovation, E-commerce Fulfillment, Last Mile Delivery, Rental, and Used Vehicle Sales) across a variety of digital channels including: web, paid search, emails, banner advertising, and social media.
  • Create or update a wide range of content assets including: white papers, case studies, customer profile sheets, videos, emails, website content, brochures, newsletters, blog posts, sales sheets, testimonials etc.
  • Structure, manipulate and editorialize sourced content, ensure content is accurate, functional and relevant. Look for new content delivery ideas and sources.
  • Work closely with marketing planning colleagues to plan and execute content related activities across a wide range of business functions, services and industries.
  • Work with internal and external designers to complete various projects – develop project timetables and manage resources appropriately.
  • Make content updates as and when necessary based on business needs.
  • Ensure appropriate messaging throughout all content channels; manage multiple projects and demands simultaneously.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills are a must
  • An expert at adapting writing to meet company needs, while powerfully communicating key messages
  • Experience developing customer facing content/materials
  • Understanding of general marketing process – research, planning, promotion and evaluation
  • Quick learner with solid business acumen

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required Journalism, Communications, Marketing
  • Five (5) years or more Working with subject matter experts to author/build and maintain a high value, compelling content that generates leads and drives conversion. required
  • Three (3) years or more Understanding of supply chain and logistics spanning warehouse and transportation. preferred
  • Five (5) years or more Agency with B2C or B2B Clients writing / creating digital (web, email, SEO, social), print, collateral, brochures, social, radio, video preferred
  • Three (3) years or more Working client side writing content for businesses, services and brand. required
