Primary Responsibilities:Diesel Technicians are responsible for diagnosing and performing repairs on diesel trucks while adhering to company and manufacturer standards. Technicians are also responsible for meeting service goals in shop throughput, efficiency and productivity to guarantee customer satisfaction and promote company culture – Speed, Value, Trust.

What we need:VVG is looking for Diesel Technician. Primary Responsibilities:Diesel Technicians are responsible for diagnosing and performing repairs on diesel trucks while adhering to company and manufacturer standards. Technicians are also responsible for meeting service goals in shop throughput, efficiency and productivity to guarantee customer satisfaction and promote company culture – Speed, Value, Trust.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs while meeting throughput and efficiency goals
- Create repair plans and identify parts required for repairs
- Follow all warranty guidelines and ensure all information needed is captured for warranty processing
- Communicate repair updates to Shop Foreman and Service Dispatcher in a thorough and timely manner
- Maintain current knowledge of job and technical skills and truck manufacturer’s repair process.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow environmental health and safety guidelines
- Take ownership for results of the service team
- 2+ years’ experience as a Diesel Technician / Mechanic
- Dependable, responsible team player with a positive attitude
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple demands, prioritize and stay organized
- Open availability – weekends included
- Class A license a plus
- Familiarity with warranty processes a plus
- Daimler Trucks North America and/or Cummins certifications a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Work performed in a shop setting, as well as exposure to shop environment such as noise, dust, odors and fumes, chemicals and adhesives.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Required to operate equipment and move vehicles in a safe manner at all times.
