Dice Shop Illustrator And Graphic Designer

DND DICE (www.dnddice.com) has specialized in providing role-playing polyhedral dice for the gaming community since 2010. We are expanding our operations to include a new part time illustrator position. Working in a small business environment means that you will wear many hats and work on different tasks around the shop in addition to your main illustration work. You will be tasked to create artwork that will be used for dice sets, as well as other product lines.

Please Note: This is not a remote position.

Work Hours: 2 Shifts Available.

• Monday - Friday (9am-1pm)
• Monday / Tuesday / Thursday (9am-5pm)

Weekend Hours: Not required, but having availability is a plus. We will likely expand our retail store hours to include some weekend days. When this takes place, you will have the opportunity to switch days or add hours.

Location: Our store is moving to the Niles area in April 2022. You will be starting the position and training in our Ravenswood 60640 location until the moving date. In April, you will assist with the move and then continue your work at our new Niles store.

Compensation: $19 Per Hour. Additional hours will be available during the holiday season and/or when retail conditions improve.

Primary Duties Include:

• Creating illustrations to be used in dice sets and accessories.
• Required Skills: Able to draw in Vector format.

Additional Duties May Include:

• Assisting in-store customers
• Checking in restock shipments
• Keeping track of office supplies
• Packing & shipping orders
• Handmaking leather goods
• Operating a laser engraving machine
• Photographing dice
• Cleaning the store
• Garbage / Recycling
• Assisting with inventory counting

Additional Skills that are helpful but Not Required

• Familiarity with polyhedral dice
• Familiarity with role-playing games
• Photography skills
• 3D Modeling skills
• Social Media / TikTok Videos
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Educational Requirement:

• There isn't an education requirement. Candidate must be able to speak and write in a professional manner displaying a strong grasp of English.
