We are looking for an individual who can help merge the proven practices we have been using at Lockheed Martin with the best of DevSecOps including Test-Driven Development, CI/CD, Micro-Service Oriented Architecture, Containerization, and Infrastructure as Code. As a coach you will be responsible for getting to know the individual teams, assessing their maturity of DevSecOps implementation, developing a plan for improvement, and ultimately helping lead the implementation. Additionally, you will be expected to collaborate and support leaders and teams through these transitions, while also developing junior DevSecOps coaches to serve as part of your DevSecOps coaching team. This is a technical position, and you will be expected to rapidly understand program teams’ baselines and operating methods and provide assessments and interventions relevant to their context. You will need to be highly consultative and collaborative within the Software Factory Team, and the programs that you coach.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a software, engineering or equivalent technical discipline along with a minimum of 14 years of broad, professional experience focused on the design, development, assembly, integration and implementation of complex software and hardware systems (MS and 12 years; PhD and 9 years)
- 8 years of experience operating in a CI/CD - continuous integration/continuous deployment environment
- Strong understanding of DevOps, DevSecOps, Test-Driven Development, CI/CD, Micro-service Oriented Architecture, Containerization, and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience in Cloud Native Technologies: Kubernetes, Rancher, Packer, Terraform, Ansible, Helm
- Experience leading/coaching others in the implementation of DevSecOps
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Knowledge and experience leading software development teams using Agile and DevSecOps practices
- Experience implementing DevSecOps within DoD or other government environments
- Experience with Open Container Initiative tools, such as Docker
- Experience with Test-Driven Development
- Previous experience in embedded software development
- Experience in designing/testing software from a systems engineering perspective.
- Current certifications as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or similar
- At least 3 years of experience leading Agile teams, ideally utilizing Agile at scale where multiple teams are dependent on each other to meet set program milestones or deliveries
- Agile coaching experience
- Able to understand an individual team’s dynamics and energize the team accordingly with an emphasis on continuous improvement
- Willingness to serve in a needed team role as the team forms
