As our DevOps Manager, you will inherit, grow and lead a diverse team that spans multiple divergent functions to accomplish a single goal: Empower EnergyHub employees to accomplish their jobs easily, efficiently, and securely while complying with the standards our customers demand. We work with many of the latest and greatest tools but, even if you don't have all of the relevant experience, we encourage you to apply. Day in the Life:
You'll work comfortably across engineering, product, QA, and data executing and managing automation improvements with a passion to bring the right tool and approach to solve the right problem. Our developers, colleagues and users should be able to quickly, safely, and securely do their jobs to the best of their abilities. It's your mission to make sure they can.
- Be an advocate for observability, reliability, maintainability, and deployment throughout engineering and across the organization to improve developer throughput
- Provide systems, tooling, and automation (eg, key rotations, instance scaling, security patches, etc) to keep up with our rapid growth, which today controls an increasingly large piece of the North American power ecosystem
- Readily and securely build, test and push features
- Maintain and expand compliance without overly burdensome processes
- Be empowered to safely do their jobs with the support of technical engineers who understand their needs and obstacles

- Comfortable analyzing and resolving problems associated with servers, hardware, and software and ensuring your teams have the right tools and capabilities to address any issue
- Will ensure our system operations are highly performant, stable, and scalable, including application/ system uptime and remote diagnostics
- Comfortable leading and/ or representing Engineering in achieving compliance with major standards like PCI, SOC2, HIPAA, etc
- Bonus points for experience owning IT, Security, and/or Compliance functions

- AWS, AWS CloudFormation
- MongoDB database management
- Monitoring systems: Grafana, Datadog, Dynatract, etc
- Python/ Java (but open to other scripting languages like Ruby, JavaScript, and Golang)
- Cloud networking - VPCs, bastions, ssh, etc
- Cloud containers in production - AWS Fargate
