The Development and Database Coordinator works under the direction of the Regional Program Manager and is responsible for strengthening WNPA’s member/donor engagement through effective and efficient database administration and exemplary customer service. To be successful, the Development and Database Coordinator will play a vital role in the organization by supporting various aspects of the member/donor journey. From data entry to forming genuine relationships with our supporters, the Development and Database Coordinator will help make the national park experience possible for everyone.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*
This role is responsible for completing the following tasks and any related tasks as assigned:
- Manage the member/donor CRM database and ensure data is accurate across organizational systems. Performs regular customer data maintenance and updates.
- Process new memberships, membership renewals, and individual donations.
- Follows policy/procedures to ensure all member/donor information and gifts are processed accurately and timely.
- Execute written, printed, digital, and phone correspondence to support the new member engagement process, membership renewals, and individual gifts.
- Manage monthly audit and reconciliation process with the finance department.
- Runs daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track and monitor performance of the membership program against established goals.
- As a system administrator of the CRM, ensure effective use of the software and provide input and feedback to improve processes.
- Provide information and support to the marketing department to inform campaigns and member/donor marketing efforts. Support monthly and semi-annual membership renewal campaign.
- Generate reports to segment audiences for tailored member/donor communications, accurate mailing lists, and timely donor acknowledgments.
- Provide internal and external customer service. Respond to requests for information from the general public, internal departments, and take steps necessary to resolve them.
- Support training efforts for a new membership program.
- Support the Regional Program Manager and the membership program to increase memberships for the organization.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES*
This role must possess advanced to expert knowledge of, skill in, and/or ability in the following:
- Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, problem solving, multitasking, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships and effectively and diplomatically communicate, verbally and in writing, to visitors, employees, board of directors, members, donors, volunteers, and the general public.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
- Ability to make independent judgments and maintain attention throughout the performance of duties.
- Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
- Must possess computer skills with Microsoft Office suite products (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), internet, and databases.
- Experience with member/donor CRM software, Email marketing software, Point of Sale systems, and eCommerce platforms is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This role must be able to meet the following physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Primarily perform work indoors, where temperature is moderate and controlled by office environmental systems. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, but may become loud during times of high customer volume or special events. Occasional work may be performed outside under natural conditions. Environment will vary when outside work or travel is required.
- Sit at a desk for up to eight hours per day. Walking and standing are occasionally required.
- Make repetitive motions, especially of the hands and wrist (grasp, pinch, type, write) and legs and back (stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, crouch).
- Communicate effectively (talk, listen and hear, see both near and far with accurate depth and color perception).
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Occasionally push and/or pull up to 50 pounds a distance of about 25 feet.

TRAVEL*
Occasional travel may be required to various local events or speaking engagements. Occasional overnight trips may be required.
This role must have the following qualifications and/or experience unless otherwise noted:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Two years of database management experience.
- Previous professional office experience.
- Previous experience supporting a membership program (preferred).
- Experience working with nonprofit organizations (preferred).
