Essential Duties:
The Desktop Support Specialist will perform the following key functions: Installing, physically moving, changing/upgrading, and disposing of computer hardware and software products Maintaining virus protection, OS service packs, general operations, and providing back-up and disaster recoveryHandling print queue issuesPerforming hardware and software break fix on computer equipment within our customers siteManaging PC loaner program.Managing the PC refresh for the office. Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Installing, physically moving, changing/upgrading, and disposing of computer hardware and software products.Outstanding people and communication skills to interact with other team members, customers, and management.Competencies: Communications, Customer Focus, Safety. Intermediate-level knowledge of network infrastructureAbility to occasionally lift, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds, and occasionally move up to 100 pounds with assistance
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred and 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experienceA+ certification requiredCertifications in IBM and HP preferred
Work Environment :Fast-Paced, High activity environmentOffice location: Michigan City, INShift: 8AM to 5PM - 2x days a weekLifting and/or Pulling up to 40lbs.; Sitting, Bending, Standing
