Design Release Engineer II

LG produces high-quality in-car infotainment systems that deliver both information and entertainment on-the-go for many of the world’s biggest automobile brands.

We are currently seeking our newest innovator to join our dynamic team as a Design Release Engineer II.

Responsibilities:

• Onsite customer support to resolve manufacturing and technical issues including troubleshooting and communicating issues with R&D and OEM
• Work closely with OEM vehicle teams supporting development activities including module retrofitting, buy-off rides and barrier test
• Manage OEM customer relationship including product and vehicle teams
• Write work orders to release parts and document engineering changes for assigned programs
• Develop and manage vehicle program milestone (if necessory, multiple programs)
• Support Product and Vehicle Team meetings providing the interface between the both
• Write and manage calibration files for development and production releases based on vehicle requirements
• Design Release Engineer II is assigned lead programs for high profile projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years of automotive engineering experience
• Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols
• Knowldge of vehicle development process
• Experience writing and processing work orders
• Ability to learn and adapt to new software and hardware tools and technologes
• Managing multiple product release activities simultaneously
• Software development process (feasibility, design, implementation, integration, test, and support), preferably experience with complex systems
• Passion for technology and problem solving
• Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience with telematics modules and wireless technology products
