Job Description

Position Summary:

  • In this position, you will work side by side with the Engineering team on daily manufacturing solutions and value improvements, design, develop and test some aspects of one or more CBI Product lines, and assist with documentations. Will Work under close supervision of Engineering Leads.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting with one or more CBI Product lines
  • Create and manage BOMs and Drawings
  • Meet project due dates
  • Assist with documentation package (job books, manuals, assy dwgs, etc.)
  • Provide manufacturing support
  • Perform ongoing review of Product Line for new methods, materials, etc.
  • Follow proper Engineering procedures for ECOs, ECRs, etc
  • Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Provide sound Engineering concepts & principles
  • Produce timely and accurate As-Built BOMs
  • Create Bills of Material for assembly drawings
  • Interact with steel fabricators, machine shops, service departments, purchasing departments, and shop technicians
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

· Applicant must be pursuing an Associates or Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering.

· Proficient in mechanical design, detailing, and the use of computer-assisted drafting (CAD) software. Experience with Solidworks is required.

· Knowledge of common manufacturing terminology and techniques, including welding, fabricating, and machining.

· Thorough knowledge of English and Metric units of measurement, as well as basic mathematics and geometry.

· Self-starter, independent worker with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer (90%)

· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on occasion

· Walking , bending, kneeling

· Repetitive motions that may include the wrist, hands, or fingers

· Ability to work in a manufacturing environment where loud noise is present
